Market Intelligence – Bluelime's Perspective
Human talent is not only the very makeup of every corporation and company large
and small – it’s also what we do at Bluelime. Each company in the world has people
who design a product or lay out a service offering, people who market and sell,
administrate, analyze, service customers, and most importantly, people who lead,
mentor, coach and manage. The root of business has always been in the talent you
keep – the talent you culture.
Bringing top talent aboard comes with added responsibility; the best people need
to be stimulated, need to learn, develop, and grow, and with the right tools firmly
in hand, the best need to both succeed and exceed expectations. The best people
need to be cared for in ways that make their company more to them than a job for
a paycheck. The best people need to know they are at the best companies. The best
people are worth retaining. So is Bluelime.
The market we work in and influence, and are influenced by, make the human component
even more vital. Grim economic climates fuel heightened performance expectations;
tough boardroom decisions are made. The mediocre, the expendable, and the less effective
flood the market as their positions are eliminated, producing a sea of potential
candidates. Companies find ways to keep their top talent, sometimes renegotiating
job descriptions, creating new positions, some even raising income for the top level
talent, or providing retention bonuses.
Sourcing candidates in a risk adverse market
now presents new challenges – candidates that have been kept by their companies
need to be well-sold on a move in employment, and know that their career is going
to continue safely progressing on. Further, everyone needs the right talent in a
tight market, not gourds of talent.
